Reflections
Audience: Assistant Principals, Parents, Staff, Students, Sys Admins, Teachers and Homepage
The 2009/2010 Reflections Art Competition ended with Carl Hankey’s 5th Annual Evening of the Arts was a great success. The evening featured an art display and refreshments, a musical program provided by the 7th/8th grade Orchestra led by Mr. Perez and Hankey’s Middle School Choir, aptly named Vocal Production, led by Ms Tarleton. An awards ceremony celebrating our young artists rounded out the evening, with special guest presenters, Mary Anne Easley, local author and writing instructor, Mr. Perez, Mr. Hauser and Dr. Wilbur. First Place winners advancing to District Level competition to represent our school in this National Arts programs are: Donavan McFann – Musical Composition, Primary Level Phoebe Carpenter – Musical Composition, Intermediate Level Morgan Martin – Film and Videography, Middle School Level Tyler Ramirez – Photography, Primary Level Jaclyn Osborne –Photography, Intermediate Level Katie Barrett – Photography, Middle School Level. Donovan McFann – Literature, Primary Level Shelby Capozzoli – Literature, Intermediate Level Caitlin McFann – Literature, Middle School Level Kayden Kadri – Visual Arts, Primary Level Delia Carpenter – Visual Arts, Intermediate Level Leila Yaghmaei – Visual Arts, Middle School Level Our Reflections program would not be possible without our Judges, who volunteer their time and expertise out of the sheer goodness of their heart and belief in the value of Art for our children. They are: Alan Lugena, Christian Lukather, Alison Bell, Tracy Williamson and John Hallam. A special thank you is owed to the hardworking parents and volunteers who made the 5th Annual Evening of the Arts a success; Michelle Martin, Rhonda Wasserman, Krista Grulikowski, Lisa Briggs, Hank Comnos, Tracy Fleck, Linda Greene and Liesa Barrett.
